A study done by Virginia Tech's Professor Jorgensen reveals that college students are not receiving the financial knowledge needed to be successful in today's complex marketplace and ever-growing economy. Due to an increasing number of financial decisions that young adults make which prevent them from being financial secure adults, we have created FLit. At FLit, we recognize that without adjusting the financial habits of our users, our users will be unable to achieve financial security both fiscally and mentally. That is why we created budgeting categories so that the user can actively see their purchases.
With an game-like financial literacy guide, FLit encourages the user to actively participate in their journey to financial literacy. Our "Literacy Map" takes the user on their own interactive path to financial literacy.
Some other functions include notification for bill due dates, additional information sections that cover credit cards and retirement plans in detail, and a marginal utility calculator to help users make more informed choices.
